Is insurance accepted?
Health Savings and Flex Spending Accounts are accepted for Naturopath Medicine, but unfortunately other insurances are not accepted. A Superbill can be provided upon request to submit to your insurance, but there is no guarantee of payment. Despite the lack of insurance coverage, many clients reports that they save money over time through reduced medication costs, less time off from work and prevention of more costly health problems. It is recommended that all clients have catastrophic coverage or a high deductible insurance plan.
Will my insurance pay for labs and tests ordered by Dr. Janet?
In the state of North Carolina, Dr. Janet uses an on-line lab service to order labs. This company provides very discounted prices which she passes on to you. She can NOT accept insurance coverage.
Dr. Janet will provide you with a lab requisition order if you would like to contact your primary care physician to see if they would do your blood draw and use your insurance coverage. Specialty tests (urine, stools, saliva) vary in price and are directly paid for by clients and then kits are taken home to get samples.
Payment is made at the end of the visit. Payments may be made via cash, check, money order, debit/credit card (Visa, Discover, Mastercard). A fee of $25.00 will be assessed for all returned checks.
Products and supplements are recommended and can be purchased through WNC Naturopathic Medicine dispensary or as ordered by Dr. Janet through a direct delivery company called Wellevate.
Please ensure to give at least 24 hours cancellation notice as a consideration of other patients who would also like to schedule an appointment. Failure to give one business day notice will result in a charge of $25.00.
Appointments are done securely via phone or email through website: Book Appointment, by your request. Messages and emails are usually taken care of within 24 hours. Be sure to leave your best contact information for efficient follow-up.
Parents of children on the autism spectrum and other developmental challenges have huge expenses to deal with on a daily basis. If you would like to make a donation to these families, the total amount of your donation will be given to the families to cover their medical visits, labs and supplements. Donations can be made by credit card or by checks, which can be made out to:
